upcoming practice schedule is as such:
TOMORROW/ Sat afternoon 28th of March. 130pm at sanctuary.
SUNDAY NIGHT 29th of March. 0800pm at sanctuary. DRESS REHEARSAL. BRING APPROPRIATE ATTIRE.
THURSDAY NIGHT. 2nd of April. 0800pm at sanctuary. LAST DRESS REHEARSAL.
if you can't make it to any of these practices, let us know. we need most; if not ALL at the last rehearsal.

demons, work hard on the laughing difficulty. as much as we love your charming smiles, get into your role!

angels, keep working hard on getting your timings exact, your faces look at the same way, your arms extending the same angle, etc... dont forget to smile.... ^____^

satan aka william, i hope you have found a black suit and a black shirt that youre willing to wear. if you haven't, ask around. also, really get into your role and be overdramatic if it doesn't feel natural. looks awesome!

henry, thanks for sorting out the lights. youre a champ. let us know whats going on with the money situation. because we have those, we no longer need to ask any other uncles. also, have you tried out the costume namju made you?

sarah and esther, come this sunday with all your different equipment. demons: red and black. angels: glitters, pretty blusher, wavy hair pinned up with flowers on top. ive got all the stuff (black lipstick, eyeshadow, nail polish) we need for demons except for red body paint coz you have that right? ill need to talk to you at yaf tonight.

rowan and christy: how are the props and the banner coming along? don't be afraid to give a shout out to anyone else in the team if you need a hand to move things along quicker, yeah?

awesome stuff everyone!!! its take off in one week!!! time sure has flown by and we still have finishing touches to do but do not fret, just do it with all your heart to glorify the name of Jesus... allow God to do the rest. if you have any questions, feel free to see any of us.. we would love to help..

yesterday's practice was short and straight to the point.

just to update everyone so that we are all the same page.

remember all the practice times that we have proposed. sundays are no longer at night but in the afternoon in between morning and evening services; ie approximately 1300. other practices are on wednesday night, around 2000/0800pm except for the last one which will be on thursday. look at the post below for more details.

unfortunately due to commitments to uni, timothy goh has decided to pull out of being a demon for the play. no harm done, we will miss you in action though!... i have asked victor as proposed by certain individuals but he doesn't want to be a part of it. it was suggested to ask james poon but if im not incorrect, he lives pretty far so i wouldn't want him to catch a bus after night practices. sooooo... the current only option is to have aaron.. ^____^ unless you guys think of someone else over the next week or so.

we have discussed what william aka satan should wear. these were the options: black pants with red singlet, red body paint and a black cape.... body painted red, red shorts and red t-shirt... body painted red, black pants and black cape over a topless trunk.... body painted red with red tights and singlet... a red body suit made by namju with red body paint.... if possible, esther and sarah, we want a trial run this week sometime for the first option to see how it will look. otherwise, we will have to play around.

jane and alison: remind namju to make an outfit for henry over the next week.

angels: great that you guys are having a practice this sunday arvo. thanks for putting up with all my comments yesterday. remember, all your faces should be turned/ focusing the same direction and place. the beat of the song is important especially when its that walking/dance scene, if you know what i mean. ^___^ also, perfect the ending with your individual vocal cues and what to do when Jesus comes in to fight, etc. lastly, this is a suggestion but it works really really well, try to find a camera recorder to tape your dance and then watch it to make corrrections on one another...

sarah: on the first wed night when we get back, ie 18th of march, if possible, can you give us a rough sketch of the makeup that youll be doing on the demons and the angels? coz the week after, we will be basically having our dress rehersals.

once again, everyone we appreciate your time. God gave His best so let's do the same. we are not doing this play for the sake of it but we are believing that it will touch lives on that friday night and that the name of Jesus will be glorified. we have so much to celebrate!!

this the current thought on rehersal for the special easter presentation event on 3rd of April (yup, can you believe that its in less than a month?)

Next rehersal: Sunday, 8th of March, after lunch at 1330 everyone.
After that: 15th of March. This is when Lawrence and I won't be here either so perhaps you can do a short practice or you can meet up as separate groups, for eg angels on their own, to finalise your parts.

By then, Aaron, Rowan, Stig, Henry, Lawrence and I should be back from Singapore.
So on Wednesday 18th of March and Sunday 22nd of March, we will be having a full rehearsal with everyone here. By then, all parts should be consolidated except Henry and Stig as they have been away.

Finally, on Wednesday, 25th of March and Sunday 29th of March, we will have a full dress rehearsal meaning makeup, props, outfits, whatever you plan to wear or have that night of the presentation.

Lastly, the night before the actual presentation, ie Thursday, 2nd of April, we will be having our last dress rehearsal and for that practice, we will also have the smoke machines and spot lights.

On the last two rehearsal, the worship team might be there an hr before to practice their run through and how it will be linked appropriately before the play itself.

Put these dates in your diary. The night rehearsals should be starting at approximately 0800pm but that is subject to change depending on people's availability. We are letting you know early so that you can prepare ahead of time the nights to have those nights free from work, uni and other obligations as best as possible.

awesome practice everyone! you all did a great job today with your patience and energy levels, especially from the guys! hahahahaha... ^_____^
special thanks to eddie and sam for stepping in to be Jesus and God respectively while henry and stig are away. you guys were a great help.

so here's a reminder of all the things we have discussed together at practice.

angels, all your dance is pretty much decided. awesome job, special mention to alison and jane for getting it started. as for now, you girls will just have to get together yourselves, hopefully sometime during this week, to consolidate the moves so that next sunday when we practice, we will start to pick at the little things you have to remember. oh yeah, also take a look at your specific individual vocal cues for the last verse so you know when you have to do your part.

demons, take your time when you come out to the stage to the angels. we have decided to not do the crawling so that we can see your faces. remember to stagger your attacks and heights so that it will messy and chaotic. during this week, try to take the time to listen to the song so that you know when you have to cheer, when you have to shiver, when you have to run away, etc... also, start to look for black clothings.

satan aka william, you were really great today, considering especially how it was your first time. ^___^ you are really animated... just keep listening to the song and learn to memorise the specific lines that you have to mime when you are talking to God.

sarah, can you produce a sketch of what you plan to do for the angels and the demons?

also, who is making the floral headband for the angels and saints?

anyways, like i said, well done everyone! i thought it was a really productive session. i love the fact that its not a dance involving just one person but a group of brothers and sisters. ^___^ what an honour to celebrate the victory of Jesus.

dont forget, practice next sunday, 8th of march, at 1300, after lunch. spread the news and keep each other accountable for your respective roles. take responsibility for what you have to do.
