angels, you're doing an awesome job. over the next few weeks, we will just have to keep practicing to make sure that you all know the dance so well you could almost do it in your sleep. by the end of this month, we can get each one of you to do it yourself and you wont have any issues, right!?!? ^___^ don't forget to get neutral tights for the next practice.
demons, keep working on looking evil/angry/aggressive and not happy. you guys were good today, considering it was your first time, unless im mistaken.
cosmeticians, maybe over the next fortnight, come up with a general idea of what you plan to do. perhaps, even do a sketch for the demons and angels so we can get the gist of what you're thinking for each group respectively.
props, it looks like banner and rocks for the stage setting will be organised upon return from indonesia and singapore.
lastly
if any questions, post a comment or just come right up to us. we are more than willing to listen. ^____^
AND ALSO A WORD...
Just want to say some things before I leave:
events//nlcc. team
I would need someone to help check out the lightings through the uncles of our church. That’s one thing I completely forgot about. I’ve also pass Pastor Anne the receipt which was used for angel material costs. She mentioned that this goes through Aunty Sue so find out how much the church is willing to subsidize from Aunty Sue. Money needs to proceed to Nam Ju. Also it may be more effective on the practice if you guys get together really quickly planning about what to do for each upcoming practices cuts the time everyone spends STARTING to think what to do. But this again is up to you =] Bear in mind every paragraph of the script goes really fast so you don’t have to do everything. The very least is to have one practice every week together angels and demons. If much repetitive practice is required, you can have either demons practicing while the angels watching offstage to give feedbacks. FEEDBACKS are EPIC important ie. Aaron your face is not ugly enough… or you don’t move around demon-like… or you’re out of time in the angel dance. That sort of stuff.
Stage & Cosmetic Props.
So far I received an update by Rowan that the banner Christy planned to use for the word “Jesus” was not enough in width. Rowan suggested we use another material that has enough length/width stored somewhere in church. Chances are it could be the white material draping behind the end of the sanctuary protecting the sound sheets. He mentioned that he’d confirm the materials availability for use and will get into preparing that as soon as he returns from Indonesia approximately the 10th of March.
The Rest of the Play
“Then Satan cringed, the sinners groaned! The demons reeled in pain as a swell of power like silent thunder rolled” – cringe - fawn: show submission or fear. Remember this is an introduction of Jesus coming into play. Maybe have the center ready, or an angel field ready for the coming of Jesus onto the stage I don’t know ask around see what people have to say :/
Everything else in the play is very self-explanatory. Easily you guys can come up with something. However the events//nlcc. team has also come up with some cool ideas leading towards the end of the show including demons scattering in different directions and a majestic ending. It’s pretty cool I must say =)
Arigato!
These are the things I remembered off the top of my head. Practice together and keep the unity! Friendship shouldn’t be jeopardized during the course of the play because the purpose of the play is to introduce the redemptive power of Jesus to the congregation and an increase in the upcoming Easter Camp. This is just another way of reaching out to people, exactly like drinking coffee with them after YAF has finished! Have fun! I’ll check this website when I’m in Singapore so keep using it!
No other agenda but love,
A
